This is probably unkind, it is aimed at myself  as well as several others…I have done this, if you feel affronted by this blog then you may do it or have done it.

There are many things that need changing in our society, we do need to work towards doing that yet it can hold snares.

Many bright young (ish) things that I observe and have been interested in with regards to the police, started off with verve, wit and charm. Their insight and desire to play a part in improving the way that their beloved force progressed was nothing short of admirable.  For some though it has become a snare.  They have become zealots almost more corporate than those whom they sparred with.  They have become seduced by their higher and higher profiles and actually selfishly arrogant often spouting opinions about a myriad of other things and not responding to either legitimate challenge, reasoned debate or a casual chat with those whom they *courted* on the way up the ladder to success.

In short they have become that which they despised, but in a new form buoyed by the impression that they could never be wrong.  They have lost their grounding in reality.  It is sad yet it is true.  I feel qualified to talk on this because I have done it myself.

Be careful when you fight the monsters, lest you become one.

Friedrich Nietzsche

Take a look in the mirror, not at your appearance but at your eyes…am I speaking to you?

As I quipped on twitter earlier today…if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck then it probably is a duck.

Oh just for the record this is NOT what has been pissing me off, it just seems appropriate today…maybe because I’m pissed off! 🙂
