A very personal view…”This lady is not for turning” oft quoted over the last weeks…whatever your political view it will strike a chord somewhere within you.

I have so many problems with this statement, it gives me nightmares quite literally and sums up everything I detest in arrogance particularly on a leadership level.  How can any one person be so fixed in their opinions?

Great minds discuss ideas.  Average minds discuss events.  Small minds discuss people.  Eleanor Roosevelt

How frightening I find it that some people have such rigid, fixed ideas that they cannot discuss ideas.  How can any progress ever happen?  How can anyone be so arrogant that they cannot actively, thoughtfully and quietly listen to every piece of information they can glean before coming to a decision?  It is truly beyond my comprehension and is the biggest contributor to discord, suffering and lets face malevolence in our world.  It always has been it probably always will whilst psychopathic tendencies are revered in our society as #leadership material.  It breaks my heart.  It breaks people’s spirits and in some cases it takes lives.  So I will leave you with this said by @Trekkiecadet

Hearts and minds are like parachutes.  They only work when they are open.

Do yourself a favour become open to others and put your ego to one side when you least feel like it…. Never stop questioning but do it without arrogance and nurture debate not persecution and bullying.

“Humility is a great quality of  #leadership which derives respect and not just fear or hatred.” ~ Yousef Munayyer
